Snow Statue Contests
Enter your snow sculpture, snow buddy or ice shanty in one of our decorating contests by calling the Les Cheneaux Welcome Center at (906) 484 - 3935 or send email to lcichamber@lescheneaux.net
On-Ice Contest
$100 1st Place Prize for the best snow statue on ice. $50 for 2nd Place. $25 for 3rd Place.
On-Site Competition
Traveling Plaque awarded to the best statue created at a business (not on the ice).
Fund The Future Challenge
Les Cheneaux Community Schools classes invited to compete against each other to create the best on-ice statue. The winner will get a pizza party, sponsored by Kewadin Casino in Hessel and will earn $100 for Fund the Future. Statues must be on the ice and at least 5 foot square.

Anyone who comes dressed in Western gear, participates in the taco eating contest and anyone wearing a Snowsfest button!

Pike and Perch Fishing Contest Begins
8:00am - Noon Sunday
Sponsored by McMaken Carpentry. Cash prizes for top three fish in adult and youth divisions, with $100 grand prize in adult division for largest pike or perch. $5 registration fee. Pre-register at the Cedar Pantry, Cedarville ACE Hardware, or Fish Tales Bait and Tackle, before 8:00am Thursday. Measure fish at same business of registration. All entries due by noon on Sunday. Awards Sunday at 3:00pm at Cedar Pantry.  
   
Free Fishing  
Take advantage of the DNR's Free Fishing Weekend Saturday and Sunday - no license required!

Evening
Visit Bumpa's, Cattail Cove, The Islander, The Runway Bar, and Hessel Kewadin Casino Bar, to vote on your favorite Western decorations, drinks and bartenders. Ballots available at the establishments listed and must be returned to the Snowsfest warm-up tent in Cedarville on Saturday, February 14th, by 2pm.

More than 15 vendors selling fine art, gourmet foods, jewelry, handmade antler crafts, water color paintings, furs, barn wood art, stained glass, cedar bird feeders and furniture, knit and crocheted items, candles, soaps and lotions, jewelry, fleece items and Lake Superior stone furnishings.
