Don't Try This At HomeDon't Forget ME!!Blondes DO have more funSwimming Is NOT for everyone
Friendly dogs abound in the villages of Cedarville and Hessel, and we welcome pets on a leash and owners who pick up after them! It's a good idea to keep dogs or cats on leashes while you are outdoors, especially when in populated areas or the village centers of Cedarville and Hessel. We encourage you to visit beaches and trails with your four-legged friends, and we know they will love it here as much as you will! Remember to bring pick-up bags for your pet, but if you forget, bags are available at the Les Cheneaux Welcome Center, Woods and Water Ecotours, Hessel Grocery and other local businesses. Just ask!

Pet Friendly Organizations:
Friends of the Animals - Serving the Eastern Upper Peninsula, this organization of dedicated volunteers and pet lovers sponsors Pet Fix, a program that provides low cost spaying and neutering to dog and cat owners at a VERY affordable price. To accomplish this, the organization hosts fundraisers and accepts donations to cover the cost of procedures. They also assist with the relocation of abandoned and lost pets. Friends of the Animals pet treats, another fundraiser for the group, are sold at Cedar Pantry, Hessel Grocery, and Woods and Water Ecotours. Call 906-643-6252 for more information on Pet Fix, or if you would like to register your own animal for a spay or neuter procedure. Donations can be made to Friends of the Animals, P.O.
